About: I lost my two dogs back to back within the past 2 years and my heart is empty but not ready to get a new dog. I’m retiring in 1 year from the Air Force and would like to do Rover as a full time passion. For now, can only do weekends and evenings. I’m very athletic and absolutely love dogs and understand the crucial importance of exercise and activity to their health. Available currently weekends and evenings only since I work full time. I am planning on retiring next year at which time I will be ready to try this full time. I will respect and follow instructions exactly as a former pet owner, I understand how important it is to follow owner’s wishes when it comes to pet care.

“Allison was super helpful and took great care of Ax”

About: I have had pets most of my life! I’ve had cats, dogs, birds, fish, and even hermit crabs. I love spending time with animals big and small, young and old. I work full time, but am typically out of work by the afternoon. I will walk, play, and hang out with your pets. I can take them to parks, throw the ball around, or walk trails with them. If you have an older pet that just likes to lounge, I can do that too. I have had experience taking care of a variety of animals and their homes, ranging from dogs and puppies, cats, fish, chickens, and bunnies. I have a lot of fun watching and spending time with animals, I’m excited to spend time with yours!

About: I have had pets of all kinds my entire life. From dogs big and small, to cats, hamsters, and bunnies. I am more than prepared to take care of your beloved pets while your gone. I'm new to the area and applying to jobs, so I have plenty of time to play, and nurture your animals until you get back. I am able to create a safe and trusting environment, by reading a dogs body language, and knowing when I need to back off or when they need space.

“Kelli has been the most reliable and kind dog Walker! She sends lots of photos and gives detailed notes after each walk. I would highly recommend! She treats your dog like her own in the best way.”

“Really appreciated Emma’s care for Melvin!”

“Zuly was very friendly with me and my pet, Gratiot. She immediately started building rapport with our meet and greet and she was great at communicating re: any questions or procedures. I want to especially commend her for her IMMEDIATE response at 10:30PM or 11:00PM. It was such a relief to have something set up before I even went to sleep. Definitely recommend Zuly, if you're searching around for the right sitter, stop now, because Zuly is the one!”

“Marcella is so sweet and kind!! She is thoughtful, makes sure my pup stays cool in the summer heat, and super communicative. You can count on her with all of your pets.”

“She’s very responsive and great to work with 😊”

About: I have been around animals since I can remember, staring with my childhood dog- a Weimaraner named Mushu! I have been in love with animals since then. I have experience with dogs, cats, horses (I have 13 years of horse experience), pigs, chickens, goats, cows, bunnies, and so much more. I love animals so much that I majored in animal sciences at The Ohio State! I have experience cleaning up after messes, administering medication, and recognizing sign of stress and aggression. I am in the DMV area for the summer, so I am trying to make a little cash and hang out with something other than the giant pigeons here! I have a remote internship and I live in the Foggy Bottom GWU area. I am able to care for a pet any day except for Wednesday when most people come into the office for meetings. I never come on too strong when meeting a new pet and I pay careful attention to their body language. Are they immediately outgoing and grabbing a toy for me to play with or are they cowering away to find a corner of space of comfort. The first impression is how I will approach the animal. I always talk to animals even when I am not directly near them so they get used to me and my mannerisms. I will make sure they are as comfortable as they can be and follow directions strictly to ensure there is the least amount of change in their routine as possible.
